WooHoo!! Good News!

Hi everybody!!

I have two amazing announcements this morning! Praise Jesus! Hallelujah!

The first thing I am happy to report is that my daughter Kaitlynn is healing wonderfully from her cancer surgery AND the pathology report came in No Malignancy Found.

I cannot begin to tell you how many thousands of pounds have been lifted from my shoulders at this news. She will be receiving low dose brachytherapy as follow up treatment because of her age and the grade of cancer that she had. I will be taking her to those treatments and will announce on the calendar when the appointments have been scheduled. Those days will become my days off.

The second Praise Jesus this morning is that our builders FINALLY got our home finished and it passed inspection on Friday afternoon on the third attempt.

We have been working nonstop since Friday evening moving supplies and furniture into the new location. I have updated the calendar to show the dates for the move. There is a lot to do but at least the wait and uncertain timing is over.

On a very personal note I would like to share a few things. My first goal in my life and my work is to honor God and to live and work in ways that please Him and bring glory to His name.

Part of that is how I relate to you. It is very important to me that each of you receives a baby that you will love and enjoy for many years to come.

It is also important to me that you do not have to wait any longer than absolutely necessary to receive your precious babies.

I received quite an unpleasant email from a customer yesterday that reflected both her frustration at the situation of having to wait longer than usual for her order to ship and her untrue assumption that other orders have taken priority over hers.

This is NOT TRUE. Every order is a priority to me. Because every order provides food and necessities for my family. Every order also becomes my work history and my portfolio. That’s kind of a big deal.

I want to clarify again that every reborn doll is different. The vinyl is different the way it bonds to the paint is different – the color of the vinyl is different. Also, some kits are honestly just easier and faster to create.

This is not a cookie cutter process. There are dozens of things that have an impact on how quickly a doll kit moves through the process. I cannot control this. It is part of the work.

In this communication I was also shamed for continuing to accept new orders. Forgive me for being blunt but this is a ridiculously absurd statement. I am not a hobbyist. This work is not just something I do to make a little spending cash. This work IS MY JOB.

Not only that but everyone that makes a purchase is made aware of my processing time which is 16-32 weeks BEFORE they buy.

If someone purchases a custom reborn doll from me and does not know this beforehand it is because they didn’t complete their due diligence. They did not read the material provided to them. I cannot control this – I provide honesty and transparency. Those things I have control over.

I cannot control the pandemic delays that crippled the entire nation and affected manufacturing worldwide.

I have gone above and beyond to compensate all customers for their order delays with complimentary items even though the delay is beyond my control.

Perhaps there is a better way to explain. So, here goes. You can think of the entire creation process as a highway with cars representing doll projects.

The delay in receiving materials created a backup along the on ramp when the kits finally arrived. This led to a heavy merging of many “cars”. This pushed a section of orders toward the 32 week completion vs. 16-24 weeks.

As time has gone on completion time has further normalized and “traffic” has become lighter. So, yes! The newest orders are no longer negatively impacted because their “car” can merge when it’s supposed to. The processing time is now just as expected and advertised. Standard 16-32 weeks.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion that anyone may have had. Please feel free to reach out with any questions via the Help Desk and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank you all for reading to the end of this post. I pray you each have a blessed day.
